My name is Manjuben Patel. I had sustained an injury to my right wrist and was referred by Dr. Dilip Maheshwari to Dr. Karn Maheshwari at Krisha Hospital for further treatment. After examination and X-ray evaluation, I was diagnosed with a post-traumatic distal radius styloid fracture of the right wrist. Dr. Karn explained my condition clearly and advised medical and conservative management without surgery. I have visited Krisha Hospital for 2–3 follow-ups so far, where my healing and wrist movement have been regularly assessed. My name is Himanshu Chavda. Around four months ago, I sustained an injury to my right index finger in a road traffic accident while driving. Even after several months, I continued to have pain around the finger joint, difficulty bending the finger, inability to fully straighten it, reduced grip and difficulty making a proper fist. These limitations were affecting the normal use of my right hand in day-to-day activities. I was referred by Dr. Neeta Salvi to Dr. Karn Maheshwari at Krisha Hospital for specialised evaluation of my finger problem. Dr. Karn carefully examined my hand and advised an ultrasound evaluation of the PIP and DIP joint region of the right index finger to understand the underlying injury properly. After the clinical assessment, my condition was identified as a chronic post-traumatic injury involving the extensor tendon of the right index finger. Dr. Karn explained how an old injury can lead to stiffness and restriction of the finger joints and why simply tolerating the problem could continue to affect the movement and function of my hand. Considering that the problem had persisted for nearly four months, surgical treatment was advised. The proposed treatment was explained to me in detail, including release of the stiff DIP and PIP joints, repair of the joint capsules and synovial structures as required, and release of the collateral ligament where necessary. I appreciated that the purpose of each step was explained in relation to improving finger movement and function rather than using complicated medical terminology alone.
